Up until now IT managers could not care less about the exact nature of a possible fire in their data centers. Questions such as: what will the maximum temperature of a fire be in the data center; what will the duration of the fire be and; can I influence the above parameters were irrelevant to IT managers. The only question of any interest was Can I extinguish the fire before it evolves? The reason is obvious.
